Rifle Season Starts with a Bang at MHOA

Despite some very windy conditions and opening weekend harvest numbers being down state-wide (http://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/opening-weekend-deer-harvest-blown-away) our hunters bagged 3 nice bucks the first two days. The weather turned much better the next few days and they continued to bring in nice deer finishing with 5 bucks and 2 does for the 8 hunters.

They head back to Michigan and Wisconsin today with their coolers full. We really enjoyed having them hunt with us and hope to see them again next year.

Our next groups of hunters arrive today and will begin hunting tomorrow through the end of season on Tuesday. There are still plenty of ‘shooter’ bucks out there and we expect them to have a successful hunt as well.
